About Quincy Samycia
Quincy Samycia is an entrepreneur, brand strategist, growth advisor, and speaker — and Co-Founder and CEO of The Branded Agency. He is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and works with organizations internationally.
An entrepreneur first
Quincy began as an entrepreneur, not as an agency strategist. In 2012 he and Meghan Conyers co-founded Strongbody Apparel with a $5,000 credit card — and learned every part of building a consumer brand the direct way: product development, manufacturing, e-commerce, retail expansion, fundraising, marketing, and operations.
Strongbody grew into a multi-million-dollar premium activewear company carried in more than 200 retail locations internationally, including more than 50 Equinox Fitness Clubs. In 2015, Quincy and Meghan appeared on CBC's Dragons' Den, received three investment offers, and accepted a deal with Joe Mimran, founder of Club Monaco and Joe Fresh.
Dragons' Den became a meaningful milestone. But the more important education was watching how positioning, product, storytelling, and distribution work together — and how quickly a business stalls when any one of them is missing.
From building a brand to advising on them
After exiting Strongbody in 2019, Quincy and Meghan co-founded The Branded Agency in 2020. Today Quincy advises startups, challenger brands, and enterprise organizations — founders, executive teams, and marketing leaders — on strategy, positioning, customer experience, digital transformation, and growth. His advice combines founder experience with brand, customer, digital, and growth strategy: he has made the decisions he now helps others make. He is an active member of Entrepreneurs' Organization.
Outside of work
Quincy lives in British Columbia with his family. He spends his time exploring the province's mountains and coastline, reading about business and psychology, and experimenting with new AI tools — usually with a strong opinion about which ones actually change the work.
